We started here because we got tired of watching great restaurants suffer online.

The food is incredible. The service is thoughtful. The space is beautiful. But the Instagram looks like it was made in 2015.

The problem we saw

Restaurant owners we knew were brilliant at their craft. They obsessed over ingredient sourcing, plate presentation, guest experience. But social media felt like a distraction—an obligation they didn't have time for.

They'd hire videographers who shot generic food footage. They'd work with agencies that treated them like one of 50 clients. They'd get promised turnarounds of 6 weeks. Meanwhile, their competitors (often worse restaurants) were posting fresh content every day.

The irony? Social media is where people decide where to eat. The reservation doesn't start on your website. It starts with someone seeing a beautiful reel at 11pm on a Tuesday, feeling hungry, and texting a friend.

So we asked: What if we could make consistent, reservation-driving content fast enough and affordable enough that restaurants could actually maintain it? What if we lived in the cities where our clients were, so we understood their scene? What if we used AI not to replace the craft, but to accelerate it?

Who we are

Alex Rivera

Creative Director & Co-founder

Alex spent 10 years in food and beverage marketing before Framelocal—shooting video for restaurants across 8 countries. He's eaten in Michelin kitchens and street food stalls. He knows what makes great food worth filming and how to tell that story in 15 seconds.

He left a comfortable job at a luxury agency because he realized he was spending more time on timesheets and client handoff meetings than actually creating. Framelocal was born from the question: What if we just built the studio we always wanted to work in?

"The moment I understood Framelocal was real was when we shot a restaurant's content in a single day, edited it with AI enhancement, and delivered 12 pieces across platforms. The owner cried. Not because the content was perfect—it was because she could finally imagine what consistency looked like."

Jamie Chen

AI Engineer & Co-founder

Jamie's background is computer vision and generative AI. Before Framelocal, they were building AI tools for a media company—but they kept thinking about the problem: How could they make creative tools that don't replace humans, but accelerate them?

When Alex pitched the restaurant idea, Jamie immediately saw it. Not as "let's automate video editing"—but as "let's build an AI system that understands cinematography, color grading, and brand consistency so well that it feels like a creative partner, not a replacement."

"The craft matters. AI makes us faster, but speed is only useful if the work stays great. Every model we build is in service of someone's vision—not to replace it."

Why this matters to us

We're obsessed with food. Real restaurants with real chefs doing real work. Not chains. Not franchises. Places where someone's vision is on every plate.

We believe great content shouldn't require a budget of $100k+. If you're a 40-seat neighbourhood bistro, your content should be as good as a Michelin-starred restaurant's. Your customers deserve to see what you're really about.

We want to be local. We've embedded crews in 10 cities specifically because we believe understanding your market—the trends, the competitors, the audience—makes better work. This isn't a remote service. We're your neighbours.

We think AI is a tool, not a replacement. The moment technology stops amplifying human creativity and starts replacing it, we lose. Every decision we make is to make our team faster and better—not to make them unnecessary.

How we actually work

We're not a retainer factory churning out content. We're creative teams embedded in each city who understand your market inside and out. We shoot on-location at your restaurant, eat your food, talk to your customers. We know your competition. We know what works locally.

Then we edit. We use AI to accelerate the process—color grading, multi-platform optimization, caption generation. But the creative decisions, the mood, the story? That's all human. Every single piece goes through our team's hands before it reaches you.

And we measure. We track your engagement, reach, and (where possible) booking impact. Every project makes the next one better because we learn from what actually works for your audience.

Your restaurant deserves to be seen.

We're here to make that happen. No contracts. No BS. Just great work that converts.
